We are Sarah and Laurie, the owners and primary photographers here at Bliss Eleven. We are so happy you are here and we are beyond excited to share our love of photography with you!

Hi! My name is Laurie Nowling and Bliss Eleven has been my baby for the past 14 years (I can’t believe my baby is a teenager!)

Our story began back in 2007 when I turned my hobby and growing love of photography into a full time career. Over the next several years Bliss Eleven grew into what it is today….one of the most recognized photography studios in the Saint Louis, Missouri, area.

I have photographed thousands of weddings, families and high school seniors and I have had the most incredible time doing it. I love capturing you, your family and all of the candid moments in between. It’s so fun to think that our photos have to power to take you back to the best day of your life or a beautiful moment in time with just a glance.

My favorite part of running this business are the friendships and relationships that happen as a result. I LOVE my clients. Truly. They have been such a huge part of my life over the last 14 years and many have become good friends. I have the privilege of being with them as they start these amazing new chapters and experiences in their lives and then I get to continue to watch them grow and flourish. What a gift that is!

Hello! I’m Sarah Oberheim and I joined Bliss Eleven over 5 years ago after moving from the Chicagoland area.

I have a bachelor degree of fine art and have been a photographer for over 10 years. I love being a photographer and capturing memories for our clients.

Wedding days hold a special place in my heart. I love the anticipation and fast pace of the day! I’m extremely focused on wedding days, however I love to have fun while I’m photographing you! My goal is to add a special energy to your day and keep as much stress away as possible. I will be with you for every step of planning your timeline and any referrals you may need. We will meet a few times a couple weeks before your big day so I know exactly where to be and what images are most important to you. I always pay special attention getting to know your closest family members and friends so I can find them throughout the day for those special candid moments! I thrive off of the challenges a wedding can present such as weather, many different lighting and location changes.

I consider myself a classic portrait photographer (so your photos aren’t dated in 20 years) who loves candid moments and is ready for any artistic shots that might present themselves! I’m always excited at the end of a wedding night to see all the beautiful images we captured.

Families and high school senior session are a favorite as well. I will make these sessions as fun as possible to set you at ease for the most natural images! I’m a HUGE animal lover so always feel free to bring your fur babies to our sessions!

We have been photographers for a very long time and it is second nature to us at this point. When we book a new client we always envision them, 50 years from now, sitting with their kids and grandkids and sharing the beautiful images from their wedding day or family shoot. We see them laughing at a fun moment captured or tearing up when they turn the page to the first dance photos. We pride ourselves in our ability to capture the most precious moments in your lives. It truly is the most important thing that we do.

Of course you will have many, many photos from your day but, we also hope you walk away with many lovely memories of working with us and that we are viewed as a special part of your lives. Yes, we are photographers. Good ones. But, we are also timeline creators, counselors, tear driers, calming energies on bustling days, seamstresses (yes, we've sewn a seam or two on a wedding day), train bustlers, ceremony helpers, champagne pourers, etc.). If it happens at a wedding, we've done it!

When you have as many weddings under your belt as we do you have seen and done it all. We will take beautiful photos of your beautiful day but, we will also be your biggest ally and cheerleader and we will always go above and beyond to make sure your day happens without a hitch!

We will also make sure that your day is captured in the most creative way possible. We want your images to be proudly displayed as art in your home so we will go above and beyond to make them look extra fabulous.
